Letter: Wind has been good for Kansas

Wind has been good for Kansas. It has attracted $8 billion of capital investment into the state while annually returning $8.9 million to its landowners through leases. According to the Kansas Energy Information Network, wind supports 12,000 jobs in Kansas and five factories that build wind-related parts. It also saves Kansans $1.64 billion on electric bills through 2050, and billions more will be saved by holding down natural gas prices.
